Ian Thomas Ash is a documentarist of In The Grey Zone (2012) and A2-B-C (2013), etc. being watched with interest by the rest of the world and kindly became a new contributor for the bird’s eye view, the essay series of 5. His first piece “Coming out again. At 40.″ was originally published in English in the third issue. Now the 5 editorial office is happy to announce that it has been translated into Japanese by Takako Matsui, and published at his following blog.
It is a personal story of him, but also a deep story for all of us.
This is also the first time for the pieces of 5 bird’s eye view published online.

イアン・トーマス・アッシュさんは『グレーゾーンのなか』や『A2-B-C』などの作品で今注目されているドキュメンタリスト。『５』のエッセイ・コーナー「bird’s eye view（鳥瞰図）」のあらたな寄稿者です。彼のエッセイ「齢40、いま再びカミングアウト。」は、最初3号に英語で掲載されました。この度、それが松井貴子さんによって日本語に翻訳され、上記の彼のブログで公開されることになりました。
これは彼の個人的な物語ですが、しかし私たちすべてに関わる深い物語りでもあります。
「bird’s eye view」がオンラインで公開されるのも、これが初めてです。
